Taste of the Nation - Orange County
With flavorful food and a passion for helping hungry children, Orange County’s top chefs and restaurants will gather for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation.
Taste of the Nation Orange County will raise funds for Share Our Strength’s fight to end childhood hunger in this community and across America.
This year’s event will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009 at The Island Hotel in Fashion Island from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Tickets: $75 More than twenty-five of the area’s finest restaurants, wineries and beverage purveyors will participate in Taste of the Nation Orange County, providing a uniquely memorable evening that highlights the best that The OC has to offer in food and wine. Executive Chef Bill Bracken of The Island Hotel and other participating restaurants will include resident favorites such as Jay's Catering, Hush, Roy's, Mr. Stox, Orange Hill, Sage on the Coast, Bluefin, The Winery, Break of Dawn and many more. Guests will be able to pair their favorite foods with fine wine from local distributors.
In addition to an array of spectacular food and drink, the event will include live entertainment and an auction of must-have lots such as travel packages, one-of-a-kind dining experiences, and specialty wine lots.

Each spring, the nation's hottest chefs and mixologists donate their time, talent and passion at more than 45 events across the United States and Canada, with one goal in mind: to raise the critical funds needed to end childhood hunger.
